Seems pretty hot... how is this brand/model?
Thanks op

Based on a quick eBay search, looks to be very hot (there aren't any generic imports on eBay fro the cheap). So even if its a crap model there is nothing cheaper. Its holding a tv on a wall, how could it be bad?
Only caution is that hanging a giant flat panel on the wall is so 2001. I think the current design trend is to have it on a stand or a peice of furniture built for the panel.

I'm pretty sure the latter won't fit so well above my fireplace...so I'll just have to be so 2001.
Though this is flush and not tilting...so that would mess the angle up anyway.

I wanna be so in 2001, too![]()
"Generally in stock"??? Is that like kinda sorta pregnant? Nice inventory tracking system they have there...LOL.

I got in on this last time and had no issues with the rebate. The box it was sent in did seemingly have the wrong model number but it had the right UPC number and i got my rebates just fine. A friend of mine had messed up the label and was rejected. He just had to call in and read the UPC number over the phone and was validated on the spot. I bought this for $60 that was supposed to be FAR. Later i found another $30 rebate on a different site, so actually wound up making money.

Ditto on all counts. Wrong model number but i got the rebate fine. Actually got two and for free AR it is a VERY good mount. Just wish it had the tilt feature. I modified one to give it tilt so now I have either or.
Good Deal OP

You have a TV above your fireplace? I'd think the heat would damage your electronic

I live in Austin... I don't actually use the fireplace![]()

If you put it above your fireplace you shoud concider routiung all the wires through the wall into your basement and having a rf remote to cotrol your electronics. Here is a cheap one I use to hide my electronics out of the way: URC 9910
I was more quoting my wife; I really wanted to hang the TV on the wall, but she wouldn't let me. In any case at least I got the TV I wanted in the deal.
monoprice has tons of wall mounts for under $25 w/o rebate.

I'm leary of buying anything from onsale.com. I tried to order a tv from them about a month ago. One day after I placed my order, a rep from there called to confirm. She said I had to call from the phone number associated with my address to confirm my identity. The phone associated with my address is in my husband's name only and we only use it for the computer - there isn't even a physical phone in our house. Plus, I had given them my cc number which is associated with my cell phone number.
Then, she said if I couldn't do that, all I had to do was confirm my last three addresses. Um, hello? Where would they get this info except from pulling my credit report?
And to add insult to injury, they didn't even have the tv in stock, contrary to their web page, and didn't know when it would be in.
So I cancelled. This was around June 10th. My cc still had $980.00 "on hold" for them, even though I have documentation that the order was cancelled.
So, order from them at your own risk! I can't believe fatwallet is associated with them.
I had to login and write a reply to thank FrazierPool for correctly using the word "leary". People always use "weary" by mistake and it's annoying. The two words you can use are "wary" or "leary".
To be weary just means you are tired.
Sorry.
Good deal OP, in for one!
Thanks OP, in for one!!![]()
I still ahve 5 of these lying around in my house from last winter.. 4 Black, 1 silver. Tried to double dip in rebates and the whole thing became a big mess after moving so much. Anybody wants to take these off my hands. eB@y isn't buying and too lazy to list on the craig.
i was saving one for myself but turns out my IKEA Entertainment Center cudnt fit my TV correctly, had to shell out another 120$ for an extending Mount. So sorry I cant comment firsthand on the product, but it seems to be your standard quality wall mount without the insane instore retail markup.
PM me if interested

QUANTITY REMAINING UPDATE:
* ALL GONE
btw, rebates are handled by rebatestatus.com
rpetty reliable rebate company as far as my experience goes. Their online email support is weak, but their call in number are pretty courteous and helpful.
rebate turnover somwhat depends on the product manufacturer.
ANTEC has taken forever but finally mailed out.
Logitech rebates typically turn over pretty quickly.
as far as My personal buying habits, rebatestatus seems to handle electronics products.
8/6/08 Update
My mistake, apparently BOTH rebates are handled directly by onsale.com, and neither are handled by rebatestatus like last time. I never looked at the rebate forms and assumed they were just like past offers
