This is a SMOKING deal. I am a scuba diver, and am on my second Canon camera, due primarily to their quality, low cost underwater housings - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. One important detail - be sure to use the diffuser with the flash, to avoid shadows.
nice OP! if you do a search for "wp-dc" you'll get a list of all the canon UW cases, and there are a few more that are very reasonably priced in case you're looking for one for a different model.

thanks for this...I want one for my A640
unfortunately...they don't have one for that camera...but thanks for the info
Hahah! This deal looks like the opposite of the normal process of buying a camera and underwater housing. The housing is cheap, and the camera is ridiculously expensive! Amazon Link: $1300! ![]()
Nice deal OP, I'm actually tempted to buy this and another camera for my next trip!
Wow, the Amazon price is nuts! Like twice what the camera ever sold for brand new.
Now if only there was an affordable case for my XT![]()

Check out RitzCamera - the printed ad of this week showed something like this for $49.99. Don't know if its a water proof housing though. Didn't see it being advertised thus. Won't hurt to look
This is a great deal. Too bad you can't locate a decent price on the camera.

UnderWater housings are generally at least similar price or double the price of the camera it's made for, it's insane sometimes what they go for.
There's also always a DIY housing using a Ammo Can, since they generally are already sealed from the elements and built tough enough for surviving being tossed and thrown around. But then you have to build a viewing window and buttions into the can, which done incorrectly can cause leakage.
That little thing protects the camera under water? Amazing!
The bums are canceling orders!
Great post, too bad was from Abe's of Maine... craptacular company?
