Can anyone comment on wood quality? is it sturdy and heavy, solid wood?? or like IKEA wood that's not only recycled wood chips but practically hollow inside..

I work from home and was really searching for something to reduce the clutter from my desk while providing storage. I purchased the small bookcase and computer armoire (small hutch) together. I use the bookcase to store my printer, some files, catalogues, stapler, etc. The bookcase was incredibly easy to put together. The directions are easy to follow and it took me about 30 minutes to put the bookcase together. [...]I needed the wood glue for the hutch. The only complaint I have is that the bookcase is only secured to the hutch by two screws on the back. I can't fasten it to the wall because of the location, so I'll just be careful. Also, I did not put the silver "support bar" on the shelf because I thought it made it look less sophisticated. That's just a matter of preference.

Needed storage for a small, temporary office while permanent office is constructed. Needed something to easily hold large binders, supplies, etc. Most inexpensive shelving are either not deep enough, tall enough to use both shelves, or both. Really nice looking for the price, easy to assemble, and can probably be used in the new office instead of having to hide it in a storage room or maintenance shop. Will probably get a couple for home.

I bought this entire collection and love it. I was able to measure and pick out the peices that I wanted. I assembled it all myself in a little over a week. Fantastic quality, Beautiful color/finish, looks better in my room than in these pictures! Directions are easy to follow, I am very very impressed.
Only 2 complaints
(1) The beautiful finish looks like it would scratch easily - no problems yet except the spot where my wife dropped her monitor moving it to the new desk.
(2)Wood glue - every item came with the same small bottle of wood glue. For some it was way too much, for some it wasn't near enough (ie. large desks, Big room divider, computer cabinet). It worked out for me though because I had some left over from the smaller items to use on the larger.
****This peice only gets 4 stars due to the way it is mount to the desk (or to each other to make a tall bookshelf). It is connected by screwing 2 brackets into each piece (in the back) with 4 small screws. This doesn't seem like the best way to design this and I was leary of stacking 2 on top of each other. - Instead, I put 3 of these side by side and made a really atractive board game area for my bonus room. - As a stand alone unit they are solid and deserve 5 stars.

Thanks, I ended up getting this for my TV. It works out well as a TV stand because I want to set up a Media Center PC.

Very nice quality in my opinion. Nice color, put together easily, the keyboard tray and filing drawer move smoothly.
