If you want real protection, invest is a higher end surge protector. They are fairly cheap online and places like Costco and Sam's, even Buy.com has good deals often. Especially if you going to use on electronics, like TV's, Computer, etc. |

The 3 way appears to just be a 3 way tap without surge protection at all. That said, if you just need extra outlets and/or a 4' extension cord $4.86 is pretty cheap. Just don't plug your valuable electronics into it. Dennis |

I wish there was an affordable solution for a surge protector with individual power switches on each outlet. After using the Kill-a-watt, some of my charging adapters draw current when not in use. I'm leaving them unplugged for now, but I'm getting tired of crawling under the table every time to plug and unplug. |
