Last week, this was one of the fastest selling laptops / notebooks I've seen. Not too sure how many people will go back to the original thread but wanted to let folks who didn't get a chance to buy, now get a chance. However, the price is now $800 vs $700 last week, but still, with Live.com, that is 10% CashBack, making the final price, $720 (still not bad). HURRY.

Meh. 600 was amazing, 700 was hot. 800 is warm...

That's true but you do get $80 back from Live.com so if you don't need to pay tax it's only $20 over the "hot" deal price

My Live.com cash email showed up within 5 or 10 minutes of making the order but unfortunately my order ships to Florida and hence tax must be paid

Heh..figured this one out myself,yes*pat self on back*.I ordered it once I saw it on TigerDirect through livecash.CashBack shows in my account almost instantly.I am in NYC as well so no tax(screw Newegg) and the shipping is only $15.So the final price should be $735.Sorry I missed the $600 deal but this isn't bad.I thought these would be sold out by now.It may be too much laptop/size for me though.I'll figure out what to do with it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the $600 deal was for P-6831. This model, P-6860, was available for $700 briefly and sold out quickly. $800 minus $80 live cash is a very good deal and the upgrades over P-6831 are worth some extra cash, IMHO.
Upgrades vs P-6831:
Proc = T5550 @ 1.83-1.86Ghz (up from T5450 @ 1.6Ghz)
RAM = 4GB (up from 3GB)
HDD = 320GB SATA (5400rpm) (up from 250GB)
OS = Vista Home Premium SP1 (64bit) (up/down from 32bit?)

Yes Szyszek, you are correct. This model is WELL worth the $100 difference. Any of the two differences of better ram, clock speed, and HDD difference alone make it worth it.

Well since CashBack applied to the last deal as well saying this is just $720(w/cb) vs $700(wo/cb) is misleading. It's like $720(w/cb) vs $630(w/cb).
